China Driving Guide ("we", "us") operates chinadrivingguide.com, a website providing informational guides and lead-matching services for foreigners driving, renting cars, obtaining temporary driving permits, and hiring private drivers in China.

By using this website or submitting a form, you agree to these terms. Our services include: free guides and checklists, a $29 permit document pre-check, private driver matching (quote-based), self-drive route planning (quote-based), and travel communication assistance.

We are not a government office. We are an independent guide and matching service. Official permit rules are set by Chinese traffic authorities and can change. Always confirm with the local Vehicle Management Office.

We are not a booking agent. We help you communicate and get matched with vetted partners; you make the final bookings and payments yourself unless explicitly stated otherwise in a written quote.

What we collect: When you submit a form, we receive your name, email, message, destination, inquiry type, and locale. For the document pre-check, you may share images of your license, translation, photos, and passport/visa pages.

How we use it: To respond to your inquiry, provide the service you requested, and improve our guides. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

How we store it: Form submissions are stored in a database for service delivery and admin review. Sensitive document images shared for pre-checks are reviewed and deleted after the service is delivered. Communication history via WeChat is retained for 30 days, then deleted.

Your rights: You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We do not store payment information — payments are processed manually and not retained on our servers.

Document pre-check ($29): If we cannot complete the review (e.g., your documents are too unclear to assess), you receive a full refund. If the review is completed, the fee is non-refundable — but if our assessment contains a material error that leads to your application being rejected, contact us for a case review.

Driver matching and route planning (quote-based): No payment is required until you approve a written quote. If we cannot confirm a vetted partner for your route and dates, you are not charged. Once a quote is approved and a partner is confirmed, the matching service fee is non-refundable (the driver and vehicle have been reserved for you).

Travel communication assistance: Refunded pro-rata for unused requests if the service cannot be delivered due to our availability.

How to request a refund: Email us with your submission details and the reason. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.

We are not liable for decisions made based on our content, including but not limited to: permit applications, rental agreements, driver arrangements, route choices, or interactions with law enforcement.
